Pro-life group fires back at Ossoff's Planned Parenthood support

Amid a flurry of attacks against Karen Handel's record of standing up to Planned Parenthood's abortion services, one of the state's most influential pro-life groups just released a 60-second ad aimed at Jon Ossoff.

GLA Action, a super PAC affiliated with the Georgia Life Alliance released a dramatic 60-second spot slamming Ossoff's support for Planned Parenthood as protecting the status quo.

"Most women who get abortions believe they have no other choice," the ad states. "Planned Parenthood and Jon Ossoff are spending millions to keep it that way. On June 20th, let Planned Parenthood know you have options. Vote No to Jon Ossoff."

"This is the number one pro-life battle in the country right now," said Camila Zolfaghari, Executive Director of Georgia Life Alliance Committee. "We cannot allow the abortion industry to defeat a pro-life champion and steal this pro-life seat."

In April, Planned Parenthood offered their endorsement of Ossoff, with one spokesperson saying he is the "is the only candidate we trust to fight attacks on access to care at Planned Parenthood health centers." Prior to the special election, Ossoff had already received $200,000 in outside help from the abortion provider. The funds were spent on direct mail and canvassing efforts to flip the Sixth District. Since then, the group has spent at least $176,000 more boosting the Democrat's campaign.

In a press release, GLA Action says it plans to air the spot online and run an additional direct mail campaign.
