Ossoff sought endorsement from U.S. Chamber
Democratic Congressional candidate Jon Ossoff, who has raked in millions from far left, anti-capitalist groups, seemingly tried to woo the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for an endorsement.
On Thursday, the Washington Examiner reported that Ossoff met with the Chamber in attempt to convince the organization's leaders that he is pro-business. However, after facing questions about his political beliefs it became "crystal clear" that he holds liberal views on the economy akin to those of Nancy Pelosi and Bernie Sanders.
"It's as though he was auditioning for 'Dancing with the Stars,'" the Chamber's political director Rob Engstrom told the Examiner.
The U.S. Chamber and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce ultimately endorsed Republican Karen Handel ahead of the June 20 runoff.
Ossoff has been noticeably attempting to move his campaign farther to the center since he made it past April's special election. Prior to the runoff, Ossoff raked in millions from groups like The Daily Kos, Planned Parenthood, Hollywood celebrities, and End Citizens United.
