In new ad, Vietnam veteran says Ossoff will weaken military spending

The Congressional Leadership Fund, a PAC with ties to House Speaker Paul Ryan, continues to pour resources into electing Karen Handel in Congressional District 6. On Thursday, they released a new ad claiming that Ossoff would vote with Nancy Pelosi to weaken the military.

The spot features Ret. Army Captain Donna Rowe, a Marietta resident and Vietnam veteran, who says she opposes the Democrat candidate.

"Ossoff is a liberal and immature and he lied to us about his national security experience," Rowe says in the ad. "Ossoff would vote with Nancy Pelosi to put our soldiers and our dear country at risk. Jon Ossoff cannot be trusted."

The spot will begin airing on cable Thursday.

CLF has been one of the most influential forces involved in the Congressional District 6 race. Wednesday they announced they would add another 45 door knockers to a field team of 90. They plan to target 300,000 doors ahead of the June 20th runoff, and will spend at least $6.7 million.
