Trump on Ossoff: 'Disaster,' weak on taxes, illegal immigration, jobs...

Throughout the race to replace Tom Price, the White House has remained mostly silent. Now, as voters head to the polls, President Trump is offering up his two cents on the race.

On Monday evening, a robocall featuring the President went out to voters across the district, saying that Democrat front runner Jon Ossoff will “raise your taxes, destroy your healthcare, and flood our country with illegal immigrants.”

“Liberal democrats from outside of Georgia are spending millions and millions of dollars trying to take your Republican congressional seat away from you. Don’t let them do it,” Trump added.

Tuesday morning, the President again took to Twitter to blast Ossoff by name.

"Democrat Jon Ossoff would be a disaster in Congress," President Trump tweeted. "VERY weak on crime and illegal immigration, bad for jobs and wants higher taxes."

"Say NO," he added.

Ossoff has staked his campaign on "holding Trump accountable," and the Sixth District election is widely pointed to as a referendum on the President's popularity. Should Ossoff pull off an (unlikely) victory, it will certainly embolden the left.
