A new candidate has entered the race for Georgia Secretary of State. On Tuesday, State Rep. Brad Raffensperger announced that he would seek the position currently held by Brian Kemp, who announced last week that he would seek the governor’s office.
“I’m running for Georgia Secretary of State because I’m a conservative who wants to keep streamlining government in Georgia to prevent it from getting in the way of job creation and opportunity,” he said.
“As our Georgia Secretary of State, I will work with our Governor to limit the size of government, cut wasteful regulations that impede growth, and will work to keep Georgia moving forward to bring new businesses here,” Raffensperger added. “I’m a strong believer in putting taxpayers first.”
Raffensperger currently represents House District 50, which covers Johns Creek.
